Food Safety Audit (Third Party Audit)

As per the provision in Food Safety and Standards (Food Safety Auditing) Regulations, 2018, FSSAI has introduced audits of Food Business Operators conducted by Private Auditing Agencies. This initiative aims to foster a culture of compliance by the industry by empowering recognized Auditing Agencies to conduct audits and report compliance.

Purpose of Food Safety Audit

The purpose of a food safety audit is to ensure that food businesses comply with established safety standards and regulations, thereby safeguarding public health. By systematically assessing operations,these audits identify potential hazards and vulnerabilities in food handling, processing, and storage. It provide valuable insights and recommendations for process improvement, ensuring that products meet safety and quality standards.
