Overview
Calibration Range & CMC
We offer precision calibration for noble metal thermocouples (Type S, R, and B) across a wide temperature range:
- Range: 0 °C to 1554 °C
- Calibration and Measurement Capability (CMC):
- 0 to 300 °C: ±0.25 °C
- 300 to 1100 °C: ±0.5 °C
- 1100 to 1200 °C: ±0.81 °C
- 1200 to 1500 °C: ±1.0 °C
- 1500 to 1554 °C: ±1.72 °C
Why Thermocouple Calibration is Essential
Thermocouples are widely used in industrial and laboratory environments due to their:
- Robust construction
- Wide temperature range
- Ease of use
However, over time their accuracy can drift due to:
- High-temperature exposure
- Oxidation
- Thermal cycling
Regular calibration ensures:
- Accurate temperature measurement
- Process reliability
- Compliance with quality standards
Reduced risk of product defects and safety issues
Our Calibration Capabilities
At FARE Labs, we provide high-accuracy calibration services for noble metal thermocouples:
- Types Covered: S, R, and B
- Temperature Range: Up to 1200 °C / 1600 °C
- CMC Accuracy: As low as ±0.25 °C to ±0.81 °C / ±1.5 °C
Reference Standards & Traceability
We use internationally recognized reference standards to ensure top-level accuracy:
- Reference Thermocouples from:
- Fluke (USA)
- NPL (UK)
- Traceability maintained through:
- NPL, India
- NPL, UK
This guarantees global acceptance and credibility of calibration results.
