What is to learn?

1. Introduction to Business Process:

On participating in training program of Process Management Cell Workflow, the participants will gain a detailed understanding of the complete workflow, from receiving samples to delivering test reports. This includes knowledge of how each department interact with the other and the tools used to manage these processes effectively.
2. Logistics:

  • Procurement of Samples: How samples are collected from different parts of India, considering time and environmental conditions.
  • Dealing with Couriers: Participants will learn how to collaborate with courier companies to minimize costs while ensuring fast and safe delivery.
  • Sample Dispatch: The logistics team also manages the timely dispatch of test reports to customers, ensuring compliance with the agreed TAT (Turnaround Time).

3. LIMS Backend Process:

  • Troubleshooting: Administrators are responsible for resolving issues that arise in the software (LIMS) when processing samples.
  • Data Management: Participants will understand how to add new test parameters, manage master data, and create custom formats for reporting based on client needs.

4. Software Development:

  • Understanding Software Development for Operations: The development of software tools (like LIMS, HRMS) from scratch is an ongoing task. Participants will gain insight into how software is developed with an emphasis on end-user requirements.
  • Technologies Involved:
    o Next.js: A React-based framework used for building web applications, especially with server-side rendering and static site generation.
    o JavaScript: A core language for building dynamic and interactive user interfaces.
    o PostgreSQL: An open-source relational database used for storing and querying data in the backend of the system.
    o AWS: Amazon Web Services is used for cloud computing, providing scalable infrastructure and storage for applications.
    o UI/UX Design: Participants will also understand the design principles that ensure the software is user-friendly and meets customer requirements.
    o Node.js: Node.js is a JavaScript runtime built on Chrome's V8 engine that enables server-side scripting, allowing developers to build fast, scalable, and real-time applications using JavaScript.

5. Quality Compliance:

  • Meeting NABL Standards: Commercial laboratories, like FARE Labs, must meet the National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories
    (NABL) standards. Participants will be exposed to the importance of compliance in the operations, particularly in documentation and maintaining quality.

i) Logistics:

Coordinated sample pickups and managed direct interactions with multiple courier providers across various locations. Gained hands-on experience in logistics management, ensuring efficient transportation and timely deliveries.

ii) Data Analysis and Interpretation:

Managed data within LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System) software to streamline operations. Acquired hands-on experience with technologies such as Next.js, PostgreSQL, and other data-handling tools.

iii) Business Process Understanding:

Developed a foundational understanding of Process management cell workflow within the organization. Handled internal department queries, including those from the Business Development team, to ensure smooth operations.

  1. Adherence to Safety Protocols: Strictly follow all laboratory safety guidelines and protocols to prevent accidents and ensure the well-being of all participants.
  2. Active Participation: Engage actively in all training sessions, discussions, and practical exercises. Complete all assigned tasks and projects on time.
  3. Respect for Equipment and Facilities: Handle all laboratory equipment and materials with care. Report any damages or malfunctions to the instructor immediately.
  4. Collaboration and Teamwork: Work collaboratively with fellow participants, sharing knowledge and supporting each other’s learning.
